How OutbreakThreat alerts work
OutbreakThreat does not guess outbreaks. Paid plans email you when a published, source-linked signal matches the geography and disease rules you set.
- You pick a plan, save one or more watch areas, and choose a radius (5 - 250 miles, capped by plan).
- You choose which diseases to follow and the minimum credibility tier (Official vs Emerging, depending on plan).
- When our index has an active signal whose pin falls inside your radius and passes your filters, we queue an email. Each email points back to the agency page - we do not paste full case files into your inbox.
- If nothing matches, you get silence. That is normal: it means we are not seeing a publisher-reported notice for that combination right now.
Technical detail: subscriber emails only send for signals that meet our internal bar (for example official tier plus https publisher links for certain mail paths). Sources & methodology
